16.07.2019: The Czech government has created article-by-article working groups to consult on the transposition of the CDSM directive. They used a general questionnaire to ask the stakeholders' opinion on the implementation.
06.11.2020: the ministerial (the Ministry of Culture) draft of the amendment to the Copyright Act was sent to the Departments and other stakeholders for comments until the 7th of December and have been published on the government document portal:

17.02.2021: Communia, Open Content, WMCZ, Iure and "Za bezpecny a svobodny internet" communicate a joint position paper on the transposition.

21.12.2022: Implementation of the DSM directive passed, by means of changes to the Copyright Act
- Act No. 429/2022 Coll. Act amending Act No. 121/2000 Coll., on copyright, on rights related to copyright and on the amendment of certain laws (Copyright Act), as amended, and other related laws
01.05.2023: Date of entry into force of the changes to the Copyright Act.
