02-11-2020: Ministry of Culture announces that the implementation of the DSM Directive is delayed as a result of the work the Ministry had to do in response to the COVID-19 crisis. The Ministry will implement the "the important provisions for rights holders on tech giants' stricter responsibility for the use of eg music and films" (meaning Articles 15 and 17) on time (before the deadline) while the remainder of the Directive will only be implemented in the second half of 2020.
18-12-2020: Ministry of Culture opens a public consultation on the implementation of articles 15 and 17 of the DSM Directive and publishes a implementation proposal. The deadline for responses to the consultation is the 22nd of January of 2021.
